Initiation Phase - August 22 - 27 , 2010 

 

The Initiation Phase of programming has been developed to ensure all entry level players have an opportunity to first develop a foundation of PHYSICAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT with a strong emphasis in skating, puck control, passing & receiving,  shooting, contact confidence,  introductory checking skills, entry level individual and team tactic principles and an abundance of FUN on ice activities.

Right Start Hockey Skills Camp
Y/O/B 2005,2004,2003, 2002

A right start hockey skills camp that will focus on the development of fundamental skating, puck control, shooting, checking, contact confidence and an abundance of high energy games.

 

2x75 minutes on ice daily
1x75 minutes Multi-Sport daily
2x30 minutes video energizer daily

 1x60 minute game

Goaltending Camp
Y/O/B 2004,2003, 2002

This program is designed for entry level goaltenders, its objective is to provide beginning goaltenders with a solid foundation in which further development in built. The Initial Phase program focuses on goalie stances. Stances change under various situations. Within the stance position, goalies will be taught balance, proper flexion and stick positioning. Dynamic Goaltending emphasizes glove placement and stick control.  The initial phase program concentrates on efficient goalie movement while providing net maximization(Looking big).

Competitive Phase -  August 22 - 27 ,2010

The COMPETITIVE PHASE  of  programming has been developed to encourage the execution of foundation skills at a high level through exciting OVERSPEED SKILL TRAINING.  This program strongly emphasizes assertive 1-1 puck tactics, competitive checking skills and the progressive introduction of International Individual and Team Play Tactics.  This phase of development is recognized as theTRANSITION PHASE of  player development where players move from the Initiation Phase of hockey and require purposeful balanced programming to meet their changing developmental needs and hockey goals.

An exciting program of challenging overspeed skill training, assertive 1-1 puck skills, reinforced contact confidence, introductory combination team tactics and age appropriate read and react skills.

An accelerated program of overspeed skill training with a strong emphasis in developing contact confidence and physical checking skills together with entry level individual and team play tactics. 2 x 90 minutes on ice daily.

A challenging level of Skill training that touches on the initial phase program and moves quickly into the Competitive phase Camp.  In the Competitive phase, dynamic Goaltending emphasizes technique, shot preparation and  puck handling. This phase includes technique save selections, for example, butterfly, half butterfly, leg extension and skate save. Upon learning the variety of saves, we look at post save responses. Learning how to recover with the appropriate leg and transitioning into subsequent saves. Goaltenders will be introduced to proper terminology; front side recovery, backside recovery, tracking, transitions, etc. The competitive phase camp reinforces “good habits” and strong technique with strong balance.

High performance phase AUGUST 22 - 27 ,2010

The HIGH PERFORMANCE PHASE  has been developed in response to the growing numbers of accomplished young players who are looking for for more challenging hockey development opportunities and aspire one day, to play at an ELITE LEVEL .This program purposefully takes HIGH PERFORMANCE PLAYERS out of their present COMFORT ZONE by grouping these players together with other HIGH PERFORMANCE PLAYERS and challenges these players with an EXPLOSIVE OPERSPEED SKILL TRAINING component . Advanced International Individual & Team play tactics and a spirited game component. This program guarentees that HIGHLY ACCOMPLISHED players realize a HIGH PERFORMANCE program that has a high regard for fun, building relationships and emotional wellness.

High Performance Phase Goaltending Camp
Y/O/B 1996,1995

The objective of the elite camp is to reinforce the essential skills of shot preparation, post save responses and save selection while introducing new complex concepts. The elite camp places emphasis on developing speed, explosiveness with good technique and addressing the tactical aspect on game. The tactics addressed will include depth control, angles and shooter tendencies. This program is intense with increased focus on ice awareness and reads to improve anticipation. Ultimately the goaltenders will complete the camp prepared to reach beyond their potential..
